Hey! I'm Katie Jean. I’m a photographer, a homesteader, a mountain biker, I love animals, and I live on a 15 acre farm. My family consists of a very supportive partner, 3 dogs, 2 cats, 2 goats, 1 pig, 2 horses, and 32 chickens. I specialize in destination weddings and adventure elopement planning. I have shot in Ireland, Switzerland, Italy, Montana, Colorado, and more. When I'm not home, I am traveling across the world. Next on my travel list is Everest Base Camp in Nepal.
I've been shooting weddings since 2010, and have developed a wealth of knowledge not just around photography, but around vendors, do's and dont's, and all things wedding related because I have seen it all. I have shot everything from 3 day traditional Indian weddings to 2 hour destination elopements on a boat in the middle of the ocean.
What I enjoy the most from photography is the fact that I create a piece of history for you. Your great great grandkids could be looking back at all the moments you shared 100 or 200 years from now.

While I love the photography part of my job, my real passion lies in helping couples realize that they don't have to do things the way they're "supposed to." The wedding industry can be... a lot. And I hated seeing how many couples ended their wedding day saying they wish they had eloped, or done what they wanted instead of being pressured into a party they didn't want dictated by people who want to make the day about them.
I want to be your cheerleader in having the wedding day of your dreams - because there's no idea too crazy, and nothing's off limits.
